Cate Family Farm Fall Wedding | Jessica + Ryan

Updated: Jan 13, 2021

The weather on Jessica and Ryan's wedding day was looking a little less than ideal. In fact, it was torrentially raining when I first pulled up to the bridal suite to begin my day with Jessica. As always, Jessica handled the situation calmly, with grace, and a giant smile and decided to go ahead and move her previously outdoor ceremony indoors and in to the barn. That is something I've come to love so much about Jessica - her smile. People often describe a smile as contagious; Jessica's is not only contagious but fills a room to the brim with happiness.

Jessica decided to do a first look with her Dad and, if you think first looks between a bride and a groom are emotional. They are nothing compared to the moment a dad sees his daughter in her wedding gown for the first time. There wasn't a dry eye in sight!

Behind the scenes, it took us an embarrassingly long time to get the cork out of that champagne bottle but, when it finally popped, it launched into oblivion! We searched and searched for the cork and never found it!

Ryan is a huge Steelers football fan so, instead of tossing Jessica's garter to his groomsmen, he opted for a wedding day football!

Prior to the ceremony, Jessica and Ryan exchanged gifts and letters without seeing each other. It was such a sweet moment.

Jessica's Dad walked her down the aisle to a misty-eyed Ryan. It was perfection.

Hooray! They are married! I love everyone's expressions in this photo! Priceless!

It stopped raining in plenty of time for bride and groom portraits which made my fall-color-loving soul so happy! I had been eyeing this big tree near the front of the farm ever since Jessica and Ryan's engagement session at the farm! I knew I wanted to take a portrait under it!

It didn't dissapoint!

Then it was off to dance the night away!

Jessica and Ryan, I'm so thankful you chose me as your photographer. I can't wait to see where life takes you. I'm blessed to know you.

Happily ever after!
